Our Standards: Professional Cleaning with Clear Accountability

Our standards at Marcaspus Cleaning Consultants turn your cleaning requirements into an agreed plan: defined tasks, trained operatives, supervision and a clear route for questions or concerns.

When missed tasks, changing cleaners or unanswered messages become part of your working week, you need more than a promise of a spotless finish. You need to know how the service will be organised, checked and supported.

Written scope. Site instructions. Quality checks. Clear responsibility.

What our standards mean for you

Less chasing. A service you can assess.

We support offices, commercial premises, managed properties and residential clients. The level of supervision and reporting is agreed around the site and contract, with responsibilities made clear before work begins.

01

A defined cleaning specification

We agree areas, tasks and frequencies in writing. Your specification distinguishes work due every visit from weekly, monthly or separately quoted tasks. This helps prevent disagreements about what was included.

02

Instructions that travel with the job

Site instructions and checklists give operatives a consistent reference. Access arrangements, priority areas and any restrictions are explained so the service does not depend on you repeating the same instructions.

03

Checks against agreed work

Supervision, inspections and client feedback help identify missed tasks and recurring issues. Checks refer to the cleaning specification, giving the team and client a shared standard for reviewing the service.

Recruitment, induction & competence

People prepared for the work they are assigned.

Our onboarding approach includes identity and right-to-work checks, role-appropriate referencing and confidentiality awareness. Site requirements are discussed before assignment. Where additional screening is required, we agree the requirement and confirm the appropriate evidence; we do not assume every role requires the same checks.

Practical cleaning skills

Training and instructions cover safe cleaning methods, equipment use, colour-coding and measures to reduce cross-contamination. Operatives need to understand both the task and the expected finish.

Site-specific induction

We consider access, emergency arrangements, restricted areas, occupied spaces and local hazards. The plan should suit the building’s use, rather than rely on a generic checklist alone.

Support and refresher guidance

Supervision and performance reviews identify where further instruction is needed. Changes to products, equipment or the scope of work are communicated to the people carrying out the clean.

Supervision & service continuity

Clear ownership when plans change.

A named service contact provides a route for questions, changes and complaints. Inspection and review arrangements are set around the service, with findings used to discuss what needs attention.

Holiday and absence cover are planned through our core and relief staffing arrangements. Replacement staff receive relevant site instructions. If an unexpected absence affects a visit, we communicate the impact and agree the available cover or revised arrangement. This gives clients a realistic plan rather than an absolute promise that no disruption can ever occur.

Where useful and agreed, photographs can support completion reporting or issue resolution. We agree what may be photographed and avoid capturing people, personal records or confidential information unnecessarily.

Safety & responsible working

The method matters as much as the finish.

Risk assessments, method statements and COSHH controls inform product selection and working methods. We consider the task, surfaces, equipment, people using the building and the precautions needed for the work.

Product and equipment controls

Instructions cover appropriate products, dilution, handling, storage, equipment use and PPE. Operatives follow the relevant method and product guidance for the task.

Respect for your premises

Access and key arrangements are agreed with the client. Restricted areas, confidential information and any rules about occupied rooms or workstations are included in site instructions.

Responsible resource use

Microfibre systems, measured product use and suitable lower-impact options can reduce unnecessary consumption. Product choice still needs to suit the surface and cleaning requirement.

A practical comparison

What to ask any cleaning provider.

Compare the detail behind each quotation. A low hourly rate alone cannot tell you the tasks included, how work is checked or who will respond if something goes wrong.

Evidence you can request

Check the documents behind the description.

Ask our team for current insurance certificates, relevant safety documentation, and current accreditation or membership evidence for your contractor checks. Confirm the scope, level and validity dates of any certificate before relying on it for your procurement process.

For CHAS and Constructionline checks, request the current certificate or registration details, including the level and validity dates. BICSc corporate membership describes company membership; it does not establish that every operative holds an individual BICSc qualification. Our team can clarify the evidence relevant to your contract.

For independent information about controlling substances used at work, visit the Health and Safety Executive’s COSHH guidance.

If something falls below the agreed standard

Tell your service contact which area or task needs attention, when the issue was noticed and any useful supporting details. We review the concern against the agreed scope, arrange appropriate action and consider whether instructions or checks need to change. Any specific re-clean terms are set out in the applicable quotation or service agreement.

Straight answers

Questions about our cleaning standards

We agree a scope and task instructions appropriate to the service. Ask us to identify visit-by-visit tasks, periodic work and separately priced extras when reviewing your quote.

Supervision arrangements depend on the site and contract. We explain the oversight, inspections and service contact available for your arrangement rather than assume every site needs a permanent on-site supervisor.

Send us your requirements before the proposed start date. We can review the documents, training, access and screening needed and confirm what we can provide.

Compare scope, frequency, visit arrangements, supplies, exclusions, oversight and cover plans together. Use the comparison checklist above to ask each provider the same questions.

Our core coverage includes Rainham, Romford, Havering, Dagenham, Barking, Upminster and surrounding East London and Essex areas. Share your postcode and service requirements so we can confirm availability.
